This Time Tomorrow

Got through Wednesday and Thursday mornings. Cranked my sleep schedule around and got up Friday morning, packed, got drinks and snacks and money for the weekend, and headed over to Cincinnati for the con. Met up with Erin for lunch a few minutes after getting to the hotel. We had some good talk, and she bought a day badge for the con. She found the paint-and-take booth right off and spent a half-hour casually banging out a gorgeous mini. We chatted a little more, and when she left, I checked into my room. And napped before my first game.
Which didn't go off, as there was only one player. I didn't mind, since that let me get some more rest.
Got up Saturday morning for a Star Wars game that did go off and was a heck of a lot of fun. Put things together for my second game, which had a full five-player table and was one of the best times I've had GMing in quite a while. Players got into the swing of things in a hurry. Lots of drama and stress, two big reveals that neither run at this scenario got to, and just a good four hours around the table. Ended the evening with a game of Outer Rim, then dinner and back to my room to watch football. And sleep. Nice firm comfy king-size bed. So nice.
Woke up early this morning and decided to head back to Louisville. A nasty winter storm had brewed up overnight, and I got it into my head to make an early start and try to beat the worst of it. Nope. Took nearly three hours to get back home, a drive of right at 100 miles. I wound up in the median once, diving into it to avoid a collision. Got home, started putting things away and clothes in the washer. Sleepy again, from the con and the tension of the drive home. Hotel bed was great, and this ol' couch is feeling pretty good, too. Gonna let the washer and dryer do their things, then put the clothes away and go back to sleep.
The con was a good time. Had a lot of fun. Yay!
