New boots, finally.  Another pair of Caterpillars (the old pair is still comfy and wearable after something like 5 years of fairly heavy use, so I'm sticking with the brand), slightly different design than the old ones.

Started breaking the boots in last night when Erin and I went to the Stravinsky concert at Transy.  Concert was good, mostly.  Berea brought huge huge choir, and Centre's was somehow just a little bit off.  Also, whoever designed Haggin Auditorium must have had a real mad-on for tall folks.  I'm just a hair under 6 feet, and I my knees fit snugly against the seat in front of me.

Erin discovered Electric Lemonades last night.  She is now a huge fan, and became incredibly giggly very quickly.

I think I'm going to try and write a short novel about the whole West Virginia funeral trip of a couple weeks ago.  Maybe even shop it around.  This homespun Appalachian stuff is somewhat popular now, and I can still speak the lingo well enough.

There's a Horsemen game this afternoon, but I don't think we're going to make it.  Erin has a lot of work to do, and it's going to involve camping out at the LexPubLib for a while.

C&C - Cats are fine.  Mina was terribly affectionate.  I believe they miss their people.

I recommend avoiding the lingo except maybe possibly only once in a great, great, great long while (like once every other book, lol).

Thanks so much for looking after the keetooms! Riley ran around spastically for about fifteen minutes after we got home. We were wondering if he'd forgotten who we were in two days, or if perhaps he had shredded something he shouldn't, and was trying to avoid us until after we found him out. Mina, unsurprisingly, demanded the pettin's, buzzed happily for a while, and then departed in a cloud of grey fur.
