Everybody Wants to Rule the World

On comfortably cool days, if I've driven the truck to work, I tend to pass on eating during my lunch break in favor of going out to the truck and grabbing a nap. I did this yesterday, and was deeply into a midday nap when the skies opened up. A few minutes of very hard rain, and wind sufficient to rock the truck, even though it was parked between a van and a full-size pickup. When the rain ended, the air temperature had dropped by several degrees, and the parking lot was soon covered by a rolling fog as the rainwater evaporated from the very warm asphalt. It was a neat little moment.
Towards the end of the workday, I got some ideas towards M&M villains, and I think I came up with my first real world-beater. It's nothing terribly original, but I like the idea. We'll see how it develops.
I'm reading Outbound Flight, by Tim Zahn. It's a good read, integrating some of the backstory from his first SW trilogy into the events of the prequel films. I guess I'll pick up Allegiance soon, too, to keep scratching that recurring SW itch.
Time to get cleaned up and head to the grocery.
