Sunday's wild card games weren't as holy-cow-awesome for me as Saturday's, but the results were satisfactory. The Giants handled Tampa Bay pretty well, and the Chargers ran over the Titans. This weekend will see some really good stuff - on Saturday, the Seahawks play the Packers and the Jaguars play the Patriots; Sunday is the day I'm more interested in, as that's Giants-Cowboys and Chargers-Colts.
Huh. The NFL's announced that Joe Gibbs is retiring as Washington's head coach. No other details; now I wonder if he's going to retire from the racing program as well.
I started the second Black Company novel last night, Shadows Linger. This one already feels different from it's predecessor, what with the narrative voice changing from chapter to chapter. It works, though.
I finished another one from the Green Ronin sale last night - Skull and Bones. This one would have been worth full price, easily. A few editing and layout errors here and there, but they didn't take anything appreciable from the reading experience. S&B creates a nice, spooky, high-adventure Caribbean to play in.
OGB Jim is running a Spycraft one-shot next weekend, and the weekend after that is a train show in Louisville. Will be an opportune time to stop by The Louisville Game Shop.
