Jun. 1st, 2007 08:23 amTruncated workweeks are always a little weird. I've had to remind myself once or twice of the actual day (and, consequently, the products to be worked on that day). There was some small amount of drama on Wednesday night, which led to a fruitful series of bitch sessions on Thursday (and my early egress that afternoon). I'm hoping for a lack of drama tonight. I want to end the week on a good note.
I haven't been able to get away from the plan of going back to school next year. I have a rough map of how to accomplish this, and a conference with my immediate supervisors has given me a lot of latitude to adjust my schedule and the like. The biggest challenge is getting this done with the limited resources I have right now.
I'm going to start spending a weekend every month with my grandmother, too. Doing her yardwork, taking her shopping, things like that. More importantly, just getting to spend more time with her. This will probably wind up tweaking the noses of the other grandkids, but I just don't care.
Comics this week: Daredevil - continues to be good solid reading. Justice Society of America - the two-page spread of JLA, JSA, and LSH slugging it out with Computo's extremities was a hoot, but the "Lightning Saga" is just kinda wandering along. Teen Titans - A Titan Dies! Again. (Buy Countdown #48 to see what happened!) Was fun to see Tim Drake and Dick Grayson giving Jason Todd the business, though. Also, an article on SciFi.com says that there's a Titans live-action movie in the works.

tegyrius is running a L5R game this weekend, which inspired me to take a look at AEG's L5R site for the first time in forever. There are a few new sourcebooks for the game out now, which was a pleasant surprise. The upcoming book on the three militant clans has made it to my personal wish list.
Time for a shower, and probably a haircut.
