After work Monday night, I headed west, as I had agreed to pick up Erin at Standiford.  Took my time, got in a fuel stop along the way, and got to the airport in plenty of time.  More than plenty - her flight was delayed about 45 minutes.  Finished reading Dune while waiting.  Upon her arrival, we recovered her bags and headed back east.  We got onto I-264, and the exhaust pipe on the truck broke off (behind the muffler, thankfully).  We had a couple of hours of really good conversation, the kind that comes naturally when you're on the road in the middle of the night.  Dropped her off in Berea and headed back to Lexington.  I finally got to bed around 3:30 a.m., and was less useful than normal on Tuesday.

Tuesday saw the first cold of the season start to rear its ugly (coughy phlegmy) head.  Wednesday was the worst day of it - a fever came and went at least three times while I was at work.  It's going away now, and I should be clear of the thing by the end of the weekend.

Fantasy Flight Games is holding their annual warehouse-clearing sale, and this time, I dove in.  My shipment arrived yesterday - all six of the Blue Planet V2 books for $38, including shipping.  Thanks to this bender and the one from Green Ronin (still waiting to see that one), I need a new bookshelf for games.

Finally got my Kingdom Come Superman t-shirt this week.  Still waiting on Erin's Robin shirt.

Now, let's go get a truck repaired, shall we?
