Sep. 11th, 2019 12:21 pmSome good news for Mom this morning. She saw her cardiologist, and the leaking heart valve is getting better. He's recommending against surgery to repair the thing, as she's responding well to her medication and is doing a bang-up job with keeping her salt intake low. She sounded satisfied with the recommendation when we talked a couple of hours ago. I'm happy, and pretty darn proud of her.
The water heater here at stately Bourbon Manor failed Monday night. Leaking from somewhere, and maintenance should be here with a replacement this afternoon or evening. Not the worst thing that could happen. Just have to wring out a couple of towels now and then to keep the floor from flooding.
Rebellion in the Rim is shipping now, according to FFG's status board. The first of the two Epic X-Wing boxes is on the boat, too. Ken will probably be pushing hard to start a RitR campaign before long, if managing the new X-Wing league doesn't take up too much of his leisure time.
