The Lost Warrior

I met with SPHIS' academic advisor this week to lay out plans for the fall semester. We have two paths set up, one graduate and one undergraduate. She's very confident that I'll be accepted, and, well, there's nothing to be lost by applying no matter the outcome.
Once we'd exchanged the greetings and pleasantries, Tammi's first question was "Just how bad is [405]?" So, unsurprisingly, complaints have found their way up. I was the fourth or fifth advising appointment of the day, and everyone had concerns about this class. I certainly don't feel that there's any value to the class as it stands now, and 430 is just as bad. These two classes are among the reasons that I'm trying to skip my senior undergrad year entirely. I knew that the program would need some polishing when I entered it; however, I don't need to be the grinding stone for another year.
I'll choose between Environmental Health and Epidemiology for my concentration. SPHIS and UofL Medical share operation of a bioterror/biowarfare office that's expanding its operational scope, and that's where I'll do two of my practica. And then I'll lose my damn mind and pursue a DrPH somewhere.
I have come to believe that the "A" in A-Wing stands for "asshole." Seriously - these guys must have a thought process that includes "Oh, hey, the enemy's got a nice formation going. I'm going to go fly into it!" Or, at least, that's how I fly mine. These little things are just wildly disruptive. I drew against another Rebel force for this league cycle, and fielded the A and a couple of X-Wings against an E-Wing and three Z-95s. Lost one of the X's, but swept the table without suffering any further damage. This moves me into the middle of the pack, and I think I'll finish up at least .500 overall.
Spring Break. Wednesday and Thursday were glorious, and I remain convinced that there is no happier place on Earth than a college campus in springtime. Don't expect to go anywhere, outside of a probably visit to Liberty to help Mom with more work around the house. All good. I can come up with something.
