This was going to be  a huge essay on old friends, misguided affection, loss, heartbreak, redemption, abandonment, and all that's associated.

Bugger that.  Dead past, and no sense sacrificing electrons to it.

Talked to spykeetom this morning.  Sounded good.  Very good.

It led to lots of trouble, but, ultimately, everybody involved who means anything to me wound up happier. The girl in question, who we'll refer to as TFMP, is ... in a bad way.
