LA swept Arizona. The Dodgers host either the Nationals or the Cubs for the NLCS, starting Saturday afternoon. The sweep gives LA five days to rest, practice, prepare. Four more wins, and then the World Series.

The owner of one of our FLGSs is from New York, and is a big Yankees fan. Great guy to talk baseball with, genuinely loves his team without hating anyone else's.

We, Rick and I, talked baseball tonight, during the biweekly Armada night. Small forces, just under half of a tournament-sized fleet, and the largest ships (MC-series cruisers and Imperial-class Star Destroyers) are forbidden. It makes for fast games, and for me, it's good practice. First match, my double CR90 and GR75 force got done in by a pair of Arquitens cruisers. My E-Wings clobbered his TIE Defenders, though, so not a total loss. Second match, I abandoned fighters entirely, fielding a Victory and an Arquitens. Faced a Nebulon-B and a Pelta - and five Z-95 squadrons. Well, his fighters survived, but I managed to get both of his ships under the forward guns of the Star Destroyer and broadside to the light cruiser and, well, handfuls of dice did their thing. May be time to pay some more attention to the ol' Victory.

It's always worth paying attention to the Star Destroyer class that can enter upper atmosphere.
