Release the Bats

tracker7The Dodgers lost the World Series, 4-1. The BoSox were just too good, too together to overcome. I'm disappointed, moreso than last year - 2017 went seven games, most of them close and competitive. This Series just wasn't enjoyable to watch.
I bailed out on ... no, I missed a Mage session for one game of the Series, and in a way, I wish I'd gone gaming. Our GM is running a terrific campaign, most of the players are fantastic, and I am having a hell of a time with this. The D&D game ... not so much. I'm coming to believe that I'm just not meant to enjoy D&D anymore.
It's Halloween, my favorite holiday, and we sure had us some seasonally-appropriate weather. Strong wind and heavy rain and even some thunder and lightning. Didn't get quite the amount of rain that some forecasts were calling for, and given Louisville's vulnerability to flooding, I'm glad.
For perfectly good, if boring, reasons, I didn't do much celebrating. Stayed in, savored the storm, and spent a couple of hours playing The Last of Us. It's been sitting on my PS4's hard drive for months, and tonight seemed a good time to finally start playing it. Heck of a good game, so far.
