I've thought about the time spent on Green River Lake last weekend. I figure the last time I was there was at least 25 years ago. I was an undergrad, or maybe just graduated. Holmes Bend was the place to put in a boat, swim, get snacks, that sort of thing. There were a couple of houseboats for rent, but nothing really remarkable.

Now, it's a full-on lake resort. A whole fleet of rental boats and a lot of rental cabins and such. I'm glad it's still there, and that it's a good economic engine. It's just so very different than the place we went to on weekends.
