Let's all go to the Fire Dances
Jan. 27th, 2008 09:21 amYesterday,
tegyrius and I headed off to Louisville for the Great Train Expo. I was good, and didn't buy anything, but there were many, many locomotives to tempt me. Several operating layouts were on display, including a good-sized LEGO setup, but my favorite was easily the monster modular layout that the Kentucky Society of N-Scalers presented. At one point, to show the cool stuff you can do with N scale and a large modular layout, they had a coal train running that was close to 60 feet long. Scaled up, that's better than a mile of train.
After the show, we wound our way to The Louisville Game Shop for a little while. Good, as always, to see Colin, and throw some money his way. I finally found a copy of World on Fire, and again exercised restraint by not buying two other books.
Now, it's time to work on some games.
