It's going to be a Mage game. We're meeting Sunday, probably a combined Session Zero and prelude play. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go for a Hermetic; outside chance of a Virtual Adept instead. I'll probably build both characters and make the decision based on what the other players come up with.

Saw news today that Ford is cutting its passenger car lineup to two vehicles, the Focus and Mustang. Taurus, Fiesta, Fusion, C-MAX - all gone. It's a sensible business decision; the Taurus is the money-losing side of the Explorer/Taurus pair, and the profit margins on the other three are razor-thin. I just hate that they're going away. Everything's a truck or a S/CUV now - and this gripe is coming from somebody who drives a Mariner.

Dad's been on the road in southern Ohio the last couple of days. Moved a ginormous vegetable oil bioreactor tank for Cargill yesterday, and a house-sized electrical junction structure today. The truck's length overall today was a shade over 105 feet. Good payouts for a couple days' work.

There's a profession that's going to see radical change soon. It's already happening, really. Dad's truck, and the two Internationals he sold off, have electronic logbooks installed. They're good for safety and compliance with regulations as written, but they don't allow for certain human factors. For example, if the truck is parked at a truckstop during the mandated rest period, the driver can't move the vehicle at all until that period passes - not even to move from one parking spot to another. Automation is going to do a number, too. There are already self-driving trucks on test routes, with a driver onboard for emergencies and first/last-mile operation. Man. Robot long-haul trucks.

Top of the eighth, and LA's losing to the goddamn Florida Marlins 4-1. Kershaw walked six in five innings, his worst count walk count.
