No Way Home
Dec. 24th, 2021 09:41 pmIt’s Christmas Eve. I’m at … Mom&Dad’s. This place will always be that. I’ve been here since yesterday afternoon, and when The Niece arrived this morning, I found myself in the company of the two people I love most in the world. We’ve had some good chats - and naps - this afternoon.
She and I saw Spider-Man: No Way Home tonight. For several pre-Covid years, we just bailed on giving each other gifts and went to dinner and a movie together, and it was good to do that again. No Way Home was really darn good. Plenty of great cheering moments and some heartbreakers, too. Alfred Molina and Willem Defoe are amazing, and, y’know, it was really good seeing Andrew Garfield again.
It’s a warm night, low 60s and windy as anything. It’s very different than last year - cold and snowy then. Both beautiful, just different.
