My sleep cycle went right to hell this week. Tossed and turned all night, slept very little and the sleep wasn't restful. Probably lingering fallout from GenCon and couple of other things from the week. Forced a sort of reset on Furlough Friday - slept most of the day, cracked open some OTC sleep meds that night (last night, as I type this), and crashed right out. Slept for about nine hours, uninterrupted, and woke up this morning feeling terrific.

My sleep schedule has gone right off the rails. Saturday morning, I woke up around 6:15 and could not go back to sleep. Couldn't even just lie in bed resting. Got up, tried to get my day started. Dozed off and woke back up in the early afternoon, missing a Feng Shui game I'd been looking forward to.

Sunday morning, I woke up stupidly early again, but was able to go back to sleep until 10:30 or so. D came into town a few hours later, and we went to Ramsey's for lunch, then went on a geocaching trip. Found four caches, I think, and while I really liked getting out and hiking around, the hunting-for-tiny-containers part was frustrating.

Up way too late, and not especially happy at the moment.  See, I've got Monday and Tuesday off from work - and on Friday afternoon, a sore throat started making its presence known.  I do not at all want to be sick on these days off, as I have plans to get away for a little while.

The D6 Star Wars game got off to a very good start, and next weekend, I may be joining a Saga Edition game.  This may accelerate the looming burnout, though.

Going to bed now.

The week hasn't been as panicky as I expected it to be, but there have been a few hitches.  Mostly, they've been due to communications problems.  Next week will be a bigger and uglier test, due in no small part to two people being on vacation.  While their timing isn't the best, they scheduled their vacation time around the timeline that we had been promised about this project's development, and I can't fault them for going ahead with their plans.  And, besides, they're two of the best people in the building and I love working with them both.

Tonight could be a very long evening at 100 Midland.  We're down one designer, and there is a huge amount of work on the print calendar - very nearly double our normal Friday night workload.  Again, bad scheduling on several parts, but there's nothing to be done.  I've already picked up a few hours of forbidden overtime this week, and I expect to see more of it tonight.  That's fine by me - it'll all go on the paycheck that comes while I'm at GenCon.

I've not been sleeping well this week.  More accurately, I've been waking up off-and-on during the night, and finally waking up for good rather early.

Brief, but fun, Freeport session last night.  Quite possibly the last one I'll have to be stupidly late for.  As it was, had a phone call been made a few minutes earlier than it was, I would have been sufficiently late that I would have missed the entire session.  Have started filling in the blanks on an upcoming Star Wars one-shot, and putting down the briefest of ideas for a few other games.

Visiting family this weekend, I think.  One of my aunts is staying with Mom&Dad for a while, and I should really take the chance to see her while I can.

Manny Ramirez is now a Dodger.  Heck of a player, but there are personality issues.  Sure hope they can be overcome, 'cause my boys can use all the help they can get.
